Horizon Lights is celebrating its tenth year of music in October 2016. Come to our concert to mark the occasion on Wednesday 12 October 2016 at the Falcon Hotel, Bromyard. We have a special guest – Karen Tweed.

Horizon Lights will be giving one of the series of concerts being held at the University. It will be held on Wednesday 9 December at 6:00 pm. Approximately one hour or so. It is in the Jenny Lind Chapel at City Campus in the town centre. It’s a great setting for music.

Come and listen to Horizon Lights playing folky versions of Xmas tunes and songs in the cosy setting of the King Charles pub in Worcester on Monday 16 December 2013. We will be providing music from around 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Good beer, lovely ambience for a warm night out. Just pop in for a short while, totally informal. No charge to listen but do spend hugely on food and drink.

Private function, sorry you can’t come, but the Peace Hall Sinton Green is full of people celebrating the 90th birthday of Betty Colley, a well-known local resident. Splendid evening.

Horizon Lights are part of the extensive folk music line-up at Earthfest, a major outdoor event held at the Fold, near Worcester. We are playing our set 2:20 – 3:00 pm on the outdoor stage near the roundabout! (Kids that is, not traffic!)

BoBposterKaren Tweed and Paul Hutchinson are both brilliant accordionists, playing both traditional folk tunes and their own compositions. Performing together will be a unique and memorable event, and they will include some tunes specially written for this concert. The evening will be opened by Horizon Lights.

It’s the Horizon Lights concert! It takes place on Friday 7 October 2011 as part of the Green Hop Beer Festival at the Talbot, Knightwick, WR6 5PH. We have constructed a programme of music, ballads and stories suitable for the darker evenings. Proceeds will go to charity – the DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal Fund.

Northumbrian Evening 28 April 2011

An evening of tunes and songs from Northumberland at the Talbot at Knightwick. Starts 8:00 pm in the Shoot Room. Entry free but please donate to our chosen charities the Midlands Air Ambulance and the Dogs Trust. As well as Horizon Lights we are pleased to welcome Ian Craigan who will tell a few tall tales!

Our Early Gigs 2006 – 2010

Horizon Lights has performed at a wide range of local event during the years since its first gig at the Bridge in 2006. This included playing at pubs and folk concerts around the Worcester area, notably at the Bell, the Bush, the Crown and the Talbot.  The band has organised folk evenings as well as putting on its own concerts. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 Horizon Lights provided folk music concerts for the Worcester Festival. Before the establishment of the current quartet, a number of musicians  – John, Sarah, Mary, Angie and Brian all enjoyed a period playing in the band at different times over the years.
